Matthew Lewis has played Neville throughout the Harry Potter film. At the opening of "Harry Potter: The Exhibition" at the Museum of Science in Boston, he spoke briefly about playing one of the series' most unlikely heroic figures. About the last film, he said, "I got the final script a few weeks ago. Neville has got a lot of stuff to do."

Alnwick Castle, which doubled as Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry in the Harry Potter films has appointed a former Disney vice president to take over as chief executive. The medieval castle, seen by millions of Harry Potter fans in the films, is the home of the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland.

Young witches and wizards took to the corridors of Hogwarts for a rather spooky showing of the latest Harry Potter film. 460 fans crowded into Gloucester Cathedral for a showing of The Half Blood Prince. Flaming torches set the scene for the film shown on Thursday which features the building's ancient cloisters in the film's corridor scenes.

On Sunday, the Student Programming Board brought the game of Quidditch to Quinnipiac for the first time. Vincent Bond, a sophomore and the chair of Special Events and Traditions for the Student Programming Board, worked to bring Quidditch to Quinnipiac after seeing the event held on other campuses.

When it comes to making the world a better place, the reasons people try to improve their communities are as diverse as the approaches they take. The members of the Harry Potter Alliance try to change the world because it's what Albus Dumbledore, the headmaster of the fictional Hogwarts Academy, would do.

The Harry Potter book series was discussed as more than just a world of witches and witchcraft Monday night in a lecture at Cal State University Northridge, given by Sabina Magliocco, chair and professor of anthropology. The idea of the series ultimately being a life lesson for young adults was one of the main topics of the discussion.

Julie Walters, Molly Weasley in the Harry Potter films, has described her new place on the Broad Street Walk of Stars as a proud honor. The leading lady entertained a crowd of more than 200 fans as she received her star at Birmingham's Rep Theatre on Tuesday. She said, "I'm proud and honoured to accept a place on the Walk of Stars."

A woman in the UK was forced to cancel her Harry Potter-themed dinner party after receiving a warning from the Warner Bros. legal department. The event included an ambiance of talking paintings and a dinner of pumpkin soup, butterbeer and cauldron cakes. The party will continue under the name Generic Wizard Night.

Robbie Coltrane, the Scottish actor who plays Rubeus Hagrid in the Harry Potter movies, is worried about the looming end of the blockbuster film series. "I think the last few days are gonna be quite tough," he said. Coltrane has had a long and successful film career including roles in James Bond movies as well as blockbusters like 2004's Ocean's Twelve.

Daniel Radcliffe is set to make his musical debut, it has emerged. The Harry Potter star will take part in a reading in New York of the show "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying." And if it turns out to be a success it will be staged on Broadway. Dan said, "I need to make myself as viable a choice for any part as I possibly can."
